As Vice President for the National Council of Chain Restaurants (NCCR), Scott Vinson manages and directs the development and implementation of NCCR's legislative and regulatory policies and strategies. He also assists the NCCR Executive Director in the day-to-day management of the association.
Prior to joining NCCR in February 2001, Scott was manager of labor and immigration policy at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce in Washington, DC. Before entering government relations, Scott worked for lawmakers at both the state and federal level. He also has extensive experience managing and working on several state and federal campaigns, including the 1995 presidential campaign of former Sen. Phil Gramm (R-TX).
A native of Iowa, Scott is a graduate, with honors, of Iowa State University with a degree in finance and accounting. He also holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Iowa College of Law.
