Leadership. NCCR has taken a leadership role in achieving major victories and developing sound public policy on numerous issues directly impacting the chain restaurant industry. These include (1) opposition to ethanol tax credit and import tariff; (2) fighting against "Card Check" legislation and NLRB decisions and rules ; (3) leading an industry tax force in support of responsible federal preemption of state and local menu labeling laws and regulations; and (4) development of food safety protocols and practices; (5) oppposition to the onerous federal health care law and support of intitiatives to repeal the statute and address significant adverse impacts to the chain restaurant industry.

Solutions on Public Policy Affecting You. Members can follow the progress of critical federal legislation affecting businesses through the NCCR website, www.nccr.net, email alerts, committee updates, and the biweekly electronic newsletter.
