National Council of Chain
Restaurants
The National Council of Chain Restaurants ("NCCR") is a
national trade association representing forty of the nation's
largest multi-unit, multi-state chain restaurant companies.
These forty companies own and operate in excess of 50,000
restaurant facilities. Additionally, through franchise and
licensing agreements, another 70,000 facilities are operated
under their trademarks. In the aggregate, NCCR's member companies
and their franchisees employ in excess of 2.8 million individuals.
National Retail Federation
In a move designed to strengthen the collective voice and
message of the retail industry, the National Council of Chain
Restaurants, in November of 2000, became a division of the
National Retail Federation. This new strategic alliance formalized
a four-year operational affiliation that the two organizations
have enjoyed and enhances NCCR's service to and representation
of the chain restaurant industry. Visit NRF at http://www.nrf.com
National Food Service Security Council
The National Food Service Security Council (NFSSC) was formed
to bring together security personnel of the major chain restaurants
and to provide opportunities for education and information
sharing concerning safety and security issues. Visit NFSSC
