The NCCR Food Safety Task Force exists to:

  • Provide a forum for members to help shape federal and/or state legislative and regulatory food safety and technical issues that are of significance to our member companies.
  • Provide a forum for members to network and share food safety and technical information of common interest for mutual benefit.(Note: Collusive, anti-competitive practices are forbidden).
  • Develop positions and statements for NCCR on food safety and technical issues for adoption/approval by NCCR President and Board of Directors.
  • Provide educational updates on topics of current interest to members.

Scope

The scope of the Food Safety Task Force is limited to food safety, quality assurance, nutrition and other related technical issues. While primarily domestic (United States) in focus, issues of global perspective may also be considered.

Two Co-Chairpersons will coordinate meetings and provide direction to the Food Safety Task Force.

Members of the Food Safety Task Force will elect one new Co-Chairperson at each meeting.

Co-Chairpersons will serve for one year, or a minimum of two consecutive meetings.

Should a Co-Chairperson be unable to complete their term, an alternative Co-Chairperson may be drafted by the remaining Co-Chairperson, or by the NCCR President.
